Apparently after my bike was stolen the other day I misplaced my keys once I got home. And it took me this long to notice. The chances are good that my keys are within my residence somewhere, but a vigorous search turned up no results. Of course considering that my place is full of stuff a vigorous search didn’t have me sifting through that much really.
After my bike was stolen I spent the rest of the weekend lying around and reflecting that Yankee Stadium would be no more (one of those things is a lie) although I did find the time and strength to flip my mattress over. This was not easy on account of the aforementioned copious amounts of stuff (mostly books, nothing of any value whatsoever, not even sentimental) that were in the way. But I somehow did it and I think that I only injured 15 parts of my body. I remember hearing that the body had 2000 parts so 15/2000=3/400=0.75%. Unfortunately not all parts are equally vital and I think that I would have preferred that some of thm were still intact. But that’s how these things go isn’t it?
I was heavily amused to find out today that some guy named Declan Burke had written a book called “The Big O” which also happens to be the title of a japanese “mecha” (no not mecca, look it up if you care) anime series. I doubt that there is any relation, and I seem to recall something else, something older, that also had a similar title. Well. The Big O (as well as The Big O II but that’s splitting hairs) anime series will once again be in a Super Robot Wars game this year as it’s in the soon to be released (3 days from now) SRW Z. As usual I am too lazy to look up the details but I have to imagine that Z will be the final SRW game on the PlayStation2. They could still release Original Generation 3 I suppose but it’s not important. I honestly do not care all that much about the game since I have other things to do and can hardly use my hands anymore. Although it probably has some of my favorite mecha series from the past 10 years or so (Turn A Gundam, Overman King Gainer, Sousei no Aquarion), not to mention least favorite characters (the entire cast of Gundam SEED Destiny).
In other mecha news, it seems like there will actually be an ending to the Code Geass series with the 25th and final scheduled episode of its second season R2. I will not be even 5% surprised if they cop out and at the last minute say they’ll release another work or entire season. From the start there have only been two ways for the show to turn out, and nothing up to this point has changed my mind about that. So which of the two ways will it be? I will complain more about the series after it’s over, and I’m not in the mood to spoil things for others, but I do think that they relented with things way too much in the 24th episode. And yes I am too old for all such of these things, which is exactly why I continue to do them.
